Of course, you gotta take the dating in Dream Daddy with a pinch of salt, but the gay community really reacted to Dream Daddy when it came out. Plus, I think that Dream Daddy wanted to provide a place where young gay men, who weren't sure about gay dating and how it works, with a safe place to basically try out flirting and get to know the ins and outs of the gay dating scene. The Sims wouldn't have become the crazy fucking sensation it did if the characters were boinking every pussy and cock in sight whenever you pressed the boink button, so Dream Daddy has to be a little more conservative than other gay games. The only way a game can go mainstream is by having the sex and shit like happen behind closed doors. This isn't just some sleazy gay sex simulation, so I think that as the Dream Daddy developers put so much work into this amazing gay game, they wanted it to go mainstream. You see, Dream Daddy is a really in-depth game that you can legitimately play for hours and hours. While this is a bit of shame as the characters in Dream Daddy are hunky as fuck, I can see why the Dream Daddy creators did this. You don't see much of the sex in Dream Daddy. However, Dream Daddy isn't like a lot of gay games where you are the director of your porn scenes and stuff.
As Dream Daddy progresses, you can go on dates with gay guys from around the town, get to know them and then maybe get a little bit naughty with them.
